Educational Objectives:

 

  • Students will have a strong foundation of Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology and Pathophysiology.

  • Students will be able to confidently conduct a thorough initial and ongoing massage assessment for each client, to ensure safety and to individualize the massage session to meet their client’s needs.

  • Students will have a thorough understanding of therapist self-care (including injury prevention).

  • Students will have an understanding of the importance of maintaining a high standard of professionalism in the field.

  • Students will have developed a resume and other necessary tools to successfully find employment.

  • Students will have a basic understanding of the process needed to submit insurance forms and how to deal with the insurance companies.

  • Students will have advance knowledge of the lymphatic system and will be able to perform Manual Lymph Drainage.

  • Students will be prepared for the National Certification Exam.
